Bought it for my mother-in-law
She's 78 and not technical. The email link opened the book — no app, no password. She had it read out loud while she cooked. One star off only because she wants a second volume already.
The read-aloud is the best part
My eyes get tired by evening. I tap the speaker and the book reads in a calm voice, and the letters are big enough that I can follow along. It feels as if it was made for me.
TV nights, no squinting
The names are the ones I grew up with. Grid is large, words don't run backwards. I do one after dinner instead of the news. That's a better hour.
Shapes I can actually fill in
Most coloring books for adults are full of tiny leaves. This one has big kitchen scenes. I color with a finger on the tablet. Wish there were a few more pages, that's all.
